NC Concealed Handgun Permit Class

This class gives you all of the state required information, a test and qualification required to submit an application to your local NC Sheriff’s Office to request a concealed handgun permit. With our instructors’ combined 60 years + in NC Law, police interaction, firearms and training, you will leave this class with more than a certificate; you will leave with confidence needed to safely carry a concealed pistol and protect yourself and your family. 

Class includes a a take home NC Concealed Handgun Book, range fee, targets, an all you can eat lunch, drinks, superior instruction and your NC Concealed Handgun Certificate.

Concealed Carry 3.0 (Next Class: October 18, 2025)

This course is specifically designed for students wanting to take the next step in being a confident, safe and skilled Family Defender.

The course will include training on shooting to get to cover, shooting around obstacles, shooting at distance, draw and movement, multiple targets, and more.

Each task we will be training on relates to real world shootings and how the defender came out on top.

Requirements: To register you should have: attended FDI’s 2.0 course, or within the last 5 years, any course by Frank Protector, any Sig Sauer Academy course, any course by Massad Ayoob, any advanced course by Blue Ridge Marksmanship, Jericho Tactical, or Trace Armory or be a current USCCA Instructor or NRA Instructor or any current or retired (last 5 years) Law Enforcement Officer.

Concealed Carry 4.0 (Next Class July 19, 2025)

Advanced Defensive Firearms Training for Experienced Concealed Carriers

This course is designed for shooters who want to elevate their defensive skills beyond the standard concealed handgun class. FDI’s Concealed Carry 4.0 focuses on real-world threats, where attackers don’t stand still — and they won’t be wearing bullseyes.

Requirements to Register:

You must meet one of the following:

• Completed FDI’s 2.0 or 3.0 course

• Attended a course in the last 5 years by Frank Protector, Massad Ayoob, Sig Sauer Academy

• Completed an advanced course by Blue Ridge Marksmanship, Jericho Tactical, or Trace Armory

• Be a current USCCA/NRA Instructor or a Law Enforcement Officer (active or within the last 5 years)

Private One-On-One Courses

These are courses designed for those shooters that want some individual time with instructors to work on a specific firearm. Whether it be a pistol, shotgun or rifle. These classes are set up after a detailed discussion with the student to determine exactly what will help them the most. It is a minimum of 4 hours and will include some classroom work to get the student technically proficient before beginning the range time. The cost, as with all of our courses, includes range fee, targets and rental of eye and ear protection.

Defensive Rifle

The Defensive Rifle has been a part of the USA since before we were a country.

First used to defend settlers and colonists and their families. Later used against an imperial power to establish a new free country.

Again the defensive rifle was used to protect families settling the western expansion.

Coming to today the defensive rifle is designed to protect families.

There is a old saying that a handgun is a tool used to fight your way back to your rifle.

This course is designed to give you skills to fight a defensive rifle once you arrive to it.

From proper zero, magazine change, immediate action drills on jams and misfires to distance accuracy.

Seats are limited.
